"After visiting a friend at a local hospice center, my mom said if she ever needed hospice care, she wanted to go there. Little did I know that soon afterward, my mom would face end of life. Despite the protests of other family members and even some medical personnel, my sister and I got mom admitted to hospice. She was on the program only two weeks, and could have benefited so much more from an earlier admission. It's become my personal goal to help other families benefit from all the wonderful care of hospice as early as possible."

With a strong sense of the emotional nature of hospice care and an unsurpassed talent for art direction, Susan has a history of addressing difficult topics with dignity, compassion and good taste.

Susan brings more than two decades of visual communications experience to her assignments. Her varied background includes design for public relations, marketing and advertising projects. Susan also has keen insights for what hospice clients need for internal and external communications, because she has worked with hospice programs from more than six years.

As part of the Transcend team, Susan was the art director for the Hospice of Northwest Ohio campaign that won the PR News Platinum Award as the best marketing campaign in the nation. She has also designed a wide range of marketing support materials and employee communications for Hospice NWO. Susan continues to develop print and broadcast materials for Hospice NWO, Treasure Coast Hospice and others.

For her designs, Susan has received multiple honors from Women in Communications, the ADDY Awards, as well as Gold and Silver awards from the Ohio Society for Hospital Public Relations. Her pro bono projects include work for the Humane Society and the American Red Cross.
